This remote role allows for flexibility while also integrating daily operations to support our Detox Center. Employees will work from a climate-controlled home office setting, ensuring that you have a comfortable and dedicated workspace. Despite the remote nature of the position, there will be ample opportunity for interaction with department members and other healthcare providers via virtual meetings and collaborative platforms.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to accurately diagnose and evaluate mental health issues using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, tailoring individualized care plans that incorporate cultural diversity and special needs.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans that focus on improving mental health outcomes, incorporating strategies for symptom reduction and patient safety through ongoing evaluation of patient progress.
• Maintain meticulous treatment records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and department procedures, utilizing current technology to streamline documentation.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to create comprehensive treatment plans that align with their goals and desired outcomes, actively managing expectations and fostering a supportive environment.
• Coordinate with external providers and community resources to enhance patient support networks, establishing strong relationships with referral agencies and other clinicians.
• Engage in educational activities by mentoring students, interns, and volunteers, as well as participating in peer review and chart auditing to promote the growth and development of the clinical team.

This position primarily serves individuals and families who are coping with the emotional and psychological challenges arising from a cancer diagnosis. You will be at the forefront of providing outpatient therapy, guiding patients through their journey by offering support, education, and effective coping strategies, all tailored to their unique needs.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current State License as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• Experience in providing therapeutic support to patients dealing with chronic illnesses, particularly cancer or substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic methodologies applicable to mental health treatment.
