Job Summary

The Tank Foreman is primarily responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with overseeing field crews/equipment, interacting between Matrix personnel, QA/QC and the customer/client, and assisting with mentoring and coaching of field personnel.

This posting will be used to fill multiple field supervision roles on project sites; candidates are expected to travel to various project sites as needed throughout the year (Florida, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, etc.).

Essential Functions

  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  • Performs system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.
  • Reviews NDE reports at jobs to ensure that all code and customer requirements have been met.
  • Assist in planning work schedule, determining personnel needed, material quantities and equipment requirements.
  • Supervise craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures and safety requirements are maintained.
  • Advise senior level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties; assist in resolving such problems, as required.
  • Ensure all company, department and technical policies, procedures, and standards, are adhered to. Interpret policies, as required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities, as directed.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent understanding of Aboveground Storage Tanks - focus on Tank Maintenance and Repair experience is required
  • Experience running a crew is required
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and/or willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of API standards, preferred.
  • Ability to travel to multiple project sites in different states throughout the year is required.
