Final Quality Inspector

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a technical review on documentation and records in accordance with Petersen, customer, and any other specified requirements.
  • Verify that required material test reports, certifications, and other supplied documentation meets code, standard and specification requirements.
  • Perform in process review of all technical documentation on the shop floor. 
  • Prepare technical documentation packages per customer/contract requirements for submittal to customers.
  • Coordinate efforts with Inspection personnel, Inspection Supervisor, Customer Focused Team, and Operations to ensure documentation requirements are being met.
  • Maintain safe work environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Have a working knowledge of various material and fabrication codes and standards.
  • Be able to read, understand, and apply customer-imposed specifications.
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Word, Access, Excel).
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and bill of materials. 
  • Must be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with inspection, production personnel, Customer Focused Teams, and customers.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems. 
  • Be able to accurately use handheld inspection tools.

Requirements: 

  • High School Education preferred. One year experience in duties and skills listed above preferred.
