American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of ED experience and TNCC certification at a Level III Trauma Center.
Details- Hospital-based Emergency Department treating all age groups, staffed 24/7
- 54-bed state-designated Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
- Treats more than 60,000 patients per year
- Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients
- EMR system used is Meditech
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as assigned
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
- Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Associate's degree in nursing required
- 2 years of RN experience required
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NIHSS or Red Cross equivalent
- TNCC certification required
- NURSYS verification required
- No prior license actions or hits, past or current
- Work as part of a collaborative ED team including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff
- Solid navy scrubs required as part of dress code
- Required to complete an on-site skills test in addition to an online pre-test
- Virtual orientation includes competency-based training modules
