Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
4x12 hour shifts, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated MedSurg RN to join our team. This position supports a 34-bed general medical-surgical unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical diagnoses.
Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in a Med/Surg setting with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist in the management of patients with telemetry requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current SC RN license or Compact license.
  • 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Epic charting system is required.
  • Skills in telemetry, insulin management, and rapid response are essential.
