Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitter B to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary, AB.

The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems throughout our construction projects.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE are provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
  • Running drain lines, plumbing lines, and Gas lines as well as installation of all plumbing related equipment.
  • Installation of Boilers, hot-water tanks and furnaces.
  • Replace valves and actuators
  • Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule
  • Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects
  • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
  • Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of 3 years' experience is required
  • Class A Gas Fitter is preferred.
  • Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
  • Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check.
  • Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
  • Willing to travel
