Employment Type: Full-Time


Salary: $75,000-$90,000 annually


O'Connor Plumbing is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber or Master Plumber who enjoys mentoring others and helping develop the next generation of plumbers. This position combines hands-on training, classroom instruction, and field coaching while allowing you to continue using your plumbing expertise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and hands-on plumbing training.
  • Teach residential and commercial plumbing systems, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation techniques.
  • Conduct practical demonstrations and skills assessments.
  • Perform ride-along with apprentices and technicians to provide field coaching.
  • Develop and update training materials, presentations, quizzes, and practical exercises.
  • Mentor apprentices and help prepare employees for journeyman licensing examinations.
  • Train employees on company standards, plumbing codes, safety procedures, and OSHA practices.
  • Track employee training progress, attendance, certifications, and skill development.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend additional training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of residential and/or commercial plumbing experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or junior plumbers.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Previous training or instructional experience preferred.
  • Master Plumber License, NCCER Instructor Certification, and OSHA 30 Certification are preferred.

Physical Requirements


Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform plumbing demonstrations involving standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and the use of plumbing tools and equipment.
