Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Nursing Intern for their Medical Intermediate Unit.

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City located in Kansas City, MO is hiring for a Nursing Intern for their Medical Intermediate Unit. This location is a Magnet designated facility and a leader in Academic Medical Centers. This unit provides care to medical short stay high acuity patients in a fast-paced environment. As a nursing intern on this team, you can care for a variety of conditions and treatments including, but are not limited to; renal, confusion, non-surgical, heart failure, observation and more.

This position is PRN. This is a year round position.

The nursing intern applicant must have one of the following qualifications:

  • Be enrolled in a formal nursing school

  • Have a certified nursing assistant certificate

  • Successfully completed SLHS NA internal training program

  • Completed their fundamentals of care course in nursing school.

The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation. However, Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks
