Work Environment

The position involves both outpatient and inpatient care, with scheduled hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and gather medical histories to assess the overall health and medical needs of patients.
  • Order, collect, and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures to aid in assessing patient conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend therapeutic treatments in alignment with established protocols, taking into account efficacy, safety, and cost considerations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive, outcomes-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, nutrition, and health promotion initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Perform various invasive procedures under the supervision of a physician, adhering strictly to safety and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in patient care activities across various healthcare settings, including but not limited to hospitals and outpatient facilities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge relevant to the field of cardiology.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily work with patients suffering from a range of cardiovascular issues, including but not limited to hypertension, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. You will play a crucial role in managing these patients’ care, from initial assessment through treatment, and ongoing monitoring. Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Active Physician Assistant certification and state licensure.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in cardiology or a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits
