Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Medical Chart Prep Tech to join our Oncology Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri- someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

  • Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

What Your Day Looks Like:The Medical Chart Prep Tech is responsible for reviewing, organizing, and preparing patient medical records before scheduled appointments. This position ensures that healthcare providers have accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient information available to support efficient workflows and quality patient care.
As a Medical Chart Prep Tech, you will be:
  • Reviewing patient charts and medical records prior to scheduled appointments.
  • Reviewing medical histories, diagnoses, medications, allergies, and other relevant clinical information.
  • Identifying missing, outdated, or inconsistent information and following appropriate procedures to obtain or correct it.
  • Organizing and compiling medical records, test results, referrals, and other required documentation.
  • Ensuring records are complete and available to providers before patient visits.
  • Maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance when handling protected health information.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma (preferred).
Experience: Previous experience in Medical Terminology and charting. Skills: Good Communication, Patience, Attention to detail, flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills.
Licensure/Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (we assist with obtaining this) within 6 months of employment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10% of shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
