Training Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm Central,
Work Schedule (post-training): Flex Hours (after training) M-F 7am-7pm Central,
weekend option available
JOB SUMMARY
The Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Payor Verification - Commercial Payors Representative will work with primary, secondary, and tertiary payors to verify benefits, deductibles, and out-of-pocket amounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
  • Utilize payor portals and phone for benefit verification.
  • Analyze work processes to maximize efficiency.
  • Work as a team to meet team and departmental goals.
  • Identify problems, gather data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and prepare reports.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints in a positive and productive manner.
  • Calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience:
  • Minimum one (1) year working experience in medical billing
  • Prior payor verification and/or experience communicating with payors directly required
  • Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team
  • Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology at an intermediate level
  • Must possess professional and empathetic written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum of one (1) year working in a call-center environment
  • Minimum of one (1) year working in a customer service position
  • Above average knowledge of Government or Commercial billing guidelines

Preferred Education:
  • High school diploma
  • GED
  • Significant relevant work experience
