Title: Medical Billing Specialist Location: Lake Mary, FL Duration: 6 Month Assignment 100% On-Site (No remote, hybrid, or part-time arrangements available) Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Customer Accounts Specialist - Medical Billing to join our Revenue Cycle Management team in Lake Mary, FL. This role is responsible for managing patient accounts, resolving billing inquiries, reviewing patient balances, interpreting insurance explanations of benefits (EOBs), and following up on outstanding patient balances. The ideal candidate will have strong medical billing knowledge, healthcare collections experience, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Review and reconcile patient accounts to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Handle inbound and outbound patient calls regarding billing statements, account balances, and payment inquiries.
  • Follow up on outstanding patient balances and unpaid accounts.
  • Review patient statements, EOBs, and remittance advice (RA) documents.
  • Explain billing statements, insurance processing, and payment responsibilities to patients.
  • Process credit card payments, account adjustments, and refund requests as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of account activity and collection efforts.
  • Assist with patient credit balance reviews and hardship application processing.
  • Respond to patient inquiries through phone and email in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support month-end closing activities by ensuring accurate account information is entered into the system.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidentiality.
  • Meet established quality, productivity, and customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
