A busy retina group is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our billing team as a full-cycle Ambulatory Surgery Center Biller.

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

·        Verify and/or code surgery based on surgical operative report;

·        Bill out surgery charges for the professional fees;

·        Bill out surgery charges for the facility fees;

·        Submit electronic claims and scrub claim rejections;

·        Manual insurance payment posting;

·        Electronic insurance payment posting;

·        Work insurance accounts receivables with an ability to work claim denials and writing claim appeals;

·        Work patient accounts receivables;

·        Send patients statements and follow collection protocol;

·        Post and reconcile patient payments and set up payment plans;

·        Scan and file insurance EOBs;

·        Work side-by-side with other billing representatives to compete the overall job responsibilities of that department.                                                                                  

Qualifications include:

·        At least 2-year experience of medical billing experience;

·        Full-cycle billing experience is highly preferred;

·        Surgical Billing and Coding experience is highly preferred;

·        NextGen knowledge is highly preferred;

·        HST Pathways knowledge is highly preferred;

·        Adaptable to frequent changes;

·        Team player with a willing attitude to go an extra mile for the patients and team;

·        Pleasant and friendly personality with strong customer service skills;

·        High attention to detail;

·        Excellent verbal and communication skills;

·        Able to work FT, Monday-Friday schedule.
