Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg on a travel temporary assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. Start date as 09/08/2026 for a 13-week engagement. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week with a pay range of $1,629 to $1,735 per week. Shift pattern: 2x3 Days. This is a hospital setting on a dedicated education unit; travel nurses will provide patient care for mixed Med/Surg patients, not education. The unit is a 30-bed facility with a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 5–6:1. No time off requests (no RTO) are permitted during this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to a mixed Med/Surg population on a 30-bed unit
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, perform treatments, and implement care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and plan discharges
- Maintain patient safety, respond to changes in condition, and participate in rapid response when needed
- Educate patients and families as appropriate about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience in a level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit with an estimated 5–6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Willingness to work a travel assignment in an acute care setting
