This position is set within our modern surgical center, where you will work alongside a team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in a collaborative atmosphere. The center is equipped with advanced medical technology, allowing you to conduct a range of diagnostic tests and procedures seamlessly. The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts beginning at 5:00 pm, ensuring a work-life balance while serving our patients effectively.

• Conduct thorough patient examinations, obtaining complete medical histories to assess health conditions accurately.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and other imaging studies to guide treatment decision-making.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute and urgent health conditions, providing timely interventions and care plans.
• Develop and implement educational treatment plans for chronic diseases, collaborating with patients to encourage adherence and lifestyle modifications.
• Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain organized and detailed patient records, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Provide patient and family education on managing various health conditions, preventive care, and the importance of regular health screenings.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental research initiatives to enhance clinical practices.

The Physician Assistant will serve a diverse patient population within the urgent care setting, addressing a wide-ranging spectrum of health issues from minor injuries to acute illnesses. This position requires a keen ability to quickly assess individuals of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role is critical in providing timely and effective care, ensuring that each patient feels heard, understood, and supported during their visit.

• A valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is required.
• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• DEA number required for prescribing medications.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in an urgent care, ER, or clinical setting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of health and patient care regulations along with acute and primary care practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare professionals.

• Experience in a fast-paced urgent care or emergency department setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform minor surgical procedures and manage acute soft tissue injuries.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telemedicine platforms.
• Proficiency in bilingual communication is a plus, enhancing patient interaction.
