Job description

As part of Med Center Health's School Based Health Clinics and under the clinical oversight of a Registered Nurse, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or a Physician, the School Health Assistant assists in providing services that work toward the good health and wellness of students and the improvement of health conditions. Provides direct and thoughtful medical care and services under the clinical oversight of an RN, an APRN, or a Physician and in adherence to Med Center Health School Based Clinic policies and procedures. Facilitates positive student engagement and well-being and promotes health and safety. Actively collaborates with school personnel, family, community, and health care providers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Completion of medical assistant training program (or another clinical training program that exceeds the requirements of a medical assistant training program) OR equivalent on the job training working under the direction of a physician is required.
  • Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
