What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you will play an important role in both the clinical experience and overall patient experience. You'll work closely with providers and your clinic team to keep the day running smoothly while delivering excellent patient care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing manual vitals

  • Performing routine blood draws and venipuncture

  • Administering intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as directed by the provider

  • Preparing and processing laboratory specimens

  • Running in-house labs and preparing specimens for outside laboratories

  • Ensuring the appropriate labs are ordered for each patient

  • Maintaining lab equipment, documentation, quality controls, and lab results

  • Completing weekly inventory and assisting with ordering supplies

  • Supporting front desk responsibilities when needed

  • Communicating with providers, patients, and team members throughout the day

  • Helping create a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for every patient

Requirements
  • Physical proof of a High School Diploma or GED is required

  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification is preferred, but not required

  • Minimum of 3 months of relevant experience in a medical setting performing phlebotomy, injections, and vitals OR documented completion of 180 externship hours

  • Experience performing venipuncture and intramuscular/subcutaneous injections is highly preferred

  • Basic computer skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Positive, friendly attitude

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexibility to work varying clinic hours and some Saturdays

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check

Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
