Job description

At May River Dermatology, we are a leading Dermatological organization of the Lowcountry that brings together a leadership team committed to providing the best patient care. As a Medical Assistant with May River Dermatology, you will be working directly with a Doctor or Physician Assistant performing clinical and clerical duties. This position’s primary responsibilities include bringing patients into the rooms, verifying patient information, preparing them for the provider, assisting with procedures, updating electronic medical records accurately and timely, patient reception, scheduling and other front office duties as needed.

Requirements for this position are: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Web Browsing and Electronic Medical Records Ability to multitask in a high paced environment Good organizational skills Maintain professional image High school diploma or equivalent At May River Dermatology, we strive to give each and every patient a great experience when coming into our practice. We have established a training protocol that assures new staff that are making a transition into healthcare are able to learn the necessary information and skills to help deliver great care. We also reimburse staff the cost for the test to become a Certified Medical Assistant.
