Job description

Ezra Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our providers and contribute to delivering high-quality care across a variety of specialties. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to make a difference in the lives of patients while growing their healthcare career.

Medical Assistant Duties:

  • Assist providers during examinations and other clinical activities, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Prepare patients for exams by taking medical histories, discussing concerns, and answering questions.
  • Assist in the collection and preparation of lab specimens.
  • Performs phlebotomy and EKGs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient charts and medical records using NextGen EMR system, ensuring proper documentation of histories, exams, treatments, and follow-ups.
  • Scribe for providers during consultations and accurately documenting patient information in real time.
  • Educate patients on post-visit care, medication instructions, and health regimens.
  • Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies, adhering to infection control policies.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure that patient care plans are effectively implemented and provide updates on patient progress or changes.

Medical Assistant Experience:

  • Experience in Medical Assisting and/or scribing is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using NextGen or similar electronic medical record software is preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
