POSITION SUMMARY

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and the clinical team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth clinic operations, quality patient care, and efficient provider productivity.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and room patients for physician appointments
  • Obtain vital signs and perform initial patient assessments
  • Document patient history and current complaints
  • Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies
  • Process insurance information and patient paperwork
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
  • Update patient medical records and EHR
  • Assist with patient education under provider direction
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Support clinic operations and patient flow
  • Assist with basic wound care and dressing changes


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent experience preferred
  • Certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of medical assistant experience
  • BLS/CPR certification required or willingness to obtain
