Jobย Summary:ย 

As aย Medical Assistant, you will be integral in supporting the providerย byย performing both administrative tasks and patient care.ย Your role is pivotal inย maintainingย high patient satisfaction through the delivery of exceptionalย service.ย ย 

Duties /ย Responsibilities:ย 

  • Serveย asย aย Medicalย Assistantย forย theย designatedย provider(s).ย 

  • Assistย providers with their "Inbox" and manage prescription refills and faxes.ย 

  • Assistย inย roomingย patients,ย ensuringย familiarityย withย theย roomingย processย andย intake procedures.ย 

  • Prepare,ย stock,ย clean,ย andย maintainย examinationย andย treatmentย roomsย and equipment.ย 

  • Prepareย patientย charts,ย includingย incorporationย ofย outsideย labย resultsย andย visitย notesย from otherย providers,ย andย ensureย labย reportsย and diagnostic test resultsย areย collected.ย 

  • Contribute to patient chart documentation.ย 

  • Execute all duties and responsibilities within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systemsย in accordance withย standardized protocols.ย 

  • Deliverย patientย education,ย accompanyย patients to the front office for scheduling.ย 

  • Handle callbacksย and respond toย patient portalย tasks andย inquiriesย promptly.ย 

  • Crosstrainย in various clinic areas, including laboratory,ย phlebotomyย and front desk dutiesย ย 
    asย needed andย able.ย 

  • Attend and complete department and clinical meetings and trainings as scheduled.ย ย 

  • Adhere to and enforce all HIPAA and OSHA compliance laws and regulations.ย ย ย

  • Highย schoolย diplomaย orย equivalentย -ย Required.ย

  • Recentย medicalย assistantย experience,ย minimumย ofย 6ย monthsย โ€“ย Stronglyย preferred.ย 

  • CMAย (Certifiedย Medicalย Assistant)ย Certificationย โ€“ย Stronglyย preferred.ย 

  • CPTย (Certifiedย Phlebotomistย Technician)ย Certificationย โ€“ย Stronglyย preferred.ย 

Physical Requirements:ย
