Job description

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical clinic running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
  • Communicate with insurance companies for insurance verification and some billing procedures
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, take vitals, gather history, do phlebotomy, follow up orders/schedule testing
  • Answer the phone and return phone calls to patients and other clinics
  • Assist with patient check in and verify insurance
  • Assist with scheduling new patients and reviewing inbox
  • Support physician by assisting with scribing during visits
  • Job includes administrative, front desk, and back desk task

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare as a Medical Assistant (atleast 2 years).
  • Familiarity with medical office and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Feel comfortable working with a small staff
  • Ability to use EMR (ECW), word applications, excel and other electronic applications fluently
  • Ability to thrive and work well with others
