Patient Transport Driver Job Overview:
Seeking a reliable and compassionate Patient Transport Driver to safely transport residents to medical appointments and assist them during their off-site visits.
Patient Transport Driver Job Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License in WI, be insurable under the liability insurance guidelines, and eligible for driving privileges based on current policy.
  • Must pass a criminal background check & driving history check.
  • Must pass the drug screen.
  • Ability to read maps and a good knowledge of Assigned Service area.
  • Must be able to lift over 50 pounds, climbing, pushing, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
  • Must be able to board wheelchair patients on/off vehicle.
  • Must be able to transfer patients in/out of wheelchairs.
  • Must be able to work outdoors, in weather common to the region, on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to lift and carry crates of mail or specimens.
  • Excellent ability to communicate with patients and allied health personnel.
  • A valid copy of certification in CPR
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Patient Transport Driver Job Responsibilities:
  • Report to work timely, well groomed, and in a clean, pressed uniform.
  • Review daily transport agenda and plan daily itinerary accordingly.
  • Transport patients according to schedule.
  • Operate/maintain company equipment in safe/professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of designated vehicle, washing daily at the end of shift.
  • Complete a check out list daily, before driving vehicle.
  • Report pick-up delay issues to Administrator, immediately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee, corporate and patient records and information in compliance with corporate compliance policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations and legislation.
  • Maintain calm, pleasant, courteous attitude.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and behaviors.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
