JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Market Manager - Reseller, Medicaid is responsible for developing strategic relationships and managing ongoing support of multiple state Medicaid programs administered by our reseller partners. This role fosters relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supports operational needs and implements growth objectives of the assigned line of business within our strategic partner. The Market Manager helps to achieve annual membership, retention, revenue and profitability goals. EyeMed's Strategic Partner segment includes many large national and regional health and/or specialty insurance plans.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships cross-functionally within Medicaid health plan partners at multiple levels.
  • Supports strategic business plans focused on retention, growing business, and achieving financial targets for assigned Strategic Partner.
  • Serves as a thought leader and vision care expert internally and externally to develop innovative processes / successes.
  • Consults with external Strategic Partner stakeholders to identify and achieve goals of both EyeMed and the Strategic Partner organizations.
  • Successfully represents client needs within internal organization and influences key internal teams to achieve client focused expectations and implement client requests.
  • Collaborates with Medicaid state partners to ensure benefits are aligned with state requirements and are also competitive in the market.
  • Supports compliance efforts including State and/or client delegation audits
  • Maintains solid understanding and ensures consistent delivery of Strategic Partner's ongoing operational and reporting requirements and expectations. Provides direct support for required reporting and other client deliverables.
  • Successfully manages client initiatives internally, while maintaining excellent communication skills to external partners.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for client service needs, researching, analyzing, and driving for resolution in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Creates and presents external facing presentations of metrics, projects, and trends and acts as the vision expert for the partner(s).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years account management experience, preferably within government programs
  • Exceptional verbal and written professional communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Demonstrated successful results and accomplishments in account management-based role
  • Experience in building and negotiating contract terms with large, complex clients

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working with government programs - ideally Medicaid
  • Experience in the health insurance field with exposure to managed care
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid regulations, standards, and processes
