HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a local contract nursing job in Thornton, Colorado.

Job Description & Requirements

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  •  Minimum 1-year current acute care ED RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC and ENPC

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  •  Trauma level 1 or level 11 experience
  • Prior Meditech experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

  •  Rapid assessment, stabilization and intervention
  • Vitals and ECG

About the unit

  • Number of Beds -40
  • Number of Staff – Approximately 65, missed with RN’s, Paramedics and EMT’s
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift – 1 CNC, 6 RN’s and an EMT with multiple midshaft staff arriving at different times of the day
    • Night Shift – 1 CNC, 6 RN’s, 1 EMT and 1 Medic with mid shifters leaving at different times throughout the night
  • Patient Ratios – 4:1
  • Type of equipment – IV Pumps, EV 1000, EKG machines, U/S machines and GE
  • EMR - Meditech
