Job Description
In this hands-on role, you will:
  • Assist in the management, maintenance, and use of film and new media equipment
  • This position serves the film program, the new media program, and the graphic design program. You will respond to the needs of faculty and students in all programs and follow a consistent protocol for equipment use
  • Checking out and checking in of film, new media, and design equipment
  • Ensuring proper use and care of the equipment during class and out of class (as requested)
  • Monitoring the editing suites
  • Providing technical assistance to those using the equipment when possible
  • Working on special projects.

Qualifications
  • Enrolled as a student at Augsburg University and be work-study eligible
  • Have a working knowledge of film cameras, video cameras, DSLR cameras, audio equipment, lighting gear, computers, and the Premiere Pro software package
  • Highly responsible, detail driven, and self-motivated
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to follow established protocol
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently
  • Some evenings and weekend hours are expected
