Position: I.T. Systems Administrator Levels I, II, III
Department: Information Technologies (I.T.)
Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The System Administrator Levels I, II and III will equally apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in, order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. All levels are responsible for exact duties and tasks, share equivalent access to complete all duties, tiers may have additional projects and deadlines determined by department Management.
Duties and Responsibilities (Specific areas of responsibilities, included but not limited to).
  1. Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  2. Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  3. Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmer and development teams.
  4. Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  5. Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  6. Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
  7. Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
  8. Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.
  9. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  10. Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  11. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  12. Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
  13. Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  14. Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
  15. Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.
  16. Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems.
  17. Monitors, maintains, supports, and optimizes all network and surveillance systems software, hardware, and associated systems.
  18. Applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving, skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in, order to maximize the benefit of all system investments.
  19. Manages and maintains system and surveillance related data storage and all recording media and/or devices.
  20. Cleans and maintains camera domes regularly.
  21. Installs new surveillance equipment in and around the Enterprise premises, such as cameras, mounts, pole adapters, camera housings, and lens packages.
  22. Maintains inventory of all parts necessary for the maintenance of all network and surveillance systems.
  23. Troubleshoots and repairs the network and surveillance systems, including, data storage, cameras, computers, printers, recordable media/devices, and all programmable technology.
  24. Maintains and prepares records and reports that meet all regulatory requirements of all hardware and software repairs, including malfunctions.
  25. Reports any, and all camera or system malfunctions to the Surveillance and IT management teams.
  26. Additional working hours may be required.
  27. Some travel may be required.
  28. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Extensive experience with desktop and server operating systems, including all Windows Platforms.
  2. Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of programming of SQL Databases.
  3. Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic, audit, and support utilities,
  4. Demonstrated progressive experience in the management of a Technical Services team.
  5. Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  6. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  7. Strong documentation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.
  2. Certifications in CompTIA A+/Network + preferred.
  3. Exceptional knowledge of computer hardware, including PC's, POS Terminals, Printers, etc.
  4. Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  5. Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  6. Must be able to retain a valid gaming license.

The Gaming Enterprise Division and the Tribal Enterprise Division (collectively Casino Del Sol) are divisions of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. As a result, preferential hiring will go in this order to: (2) enrolled members of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe who meet the position's minimum qualifications; (2) Spouses and biological and adopted children of enrolled Pascua Yaqui Tribal members who meet the position's minimum qualifications; (3) Enrolled member of other Federal recognized Tribes who meet the position's minimum qualifications; and (4) all others who meet the position's minimum qualifications.
