Strategy Consultant - TMT (Telecoms & Technology)

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Salary: $134,000 Base + Performance Bonus ($150,000โ€“$200,000 OTE)


Our client is a specialist strategy and advisory consultancy with experience supporting leading telecommunications operators, digital infrastructure businesses, and private equity investors. The firm partners with clients on strategic decision-making, commercial due diligence, market analysis, and high-value transactions across the telecoms and technology landscape.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to take ownership of client engagements, lead project teams, and work on high-impact strategic projects within the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector.


The Role

As a Principal Consultant, you will lead consulting projects from inception through to delivery, managing client relationships while mentoring and developing junior team members. You'll combine analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and commercial insight to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients.


Key Responsibilities

Client & Team Leadership

  • Lead consulting engagements from start to finish, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Manage project teams, providing coaching and oversight.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.

Project Delivery

  • Manage project timelines, priorities, and multiple workstreams.
  • Develop compelling presentations and executive-level deliverables.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.

Strategy & Problem Solving

  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to complex business challenges.
  • Translate research and analysis into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Drive insight-led decision making for clients.

Research & Analytics

  • Lead quantitative analysis and financial modelling.
  • Oversee primary research, expert interviews, and market analysis.
  • Ensure analytical outputs are robust, accurate, and commercially relevant.
  • Mentor junior consultants in research techniques and analytical best practice.


About You

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • 4โ€“7 years' experience within strategy consulting, management consulting, analytics, corporate strategy, or a similar professional services environment.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree with an excellent academic record.
  • Experience managing consulting projects and leading teams.
  • Strong Commercial Due Diligence experience, ideally within the TMT Sector.
  • Strong analytical capability, including quantitative analysis and Excel modelling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
