Job description

Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Agency committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this agency, our Paid Media Team is focused on achieving growth by making data-driven decisions to create meaningful interactions with existing and potential customers. We are seeking a Paid Search Analyst to serve as a hands-on-keyboard SEM strategist and analyst, supporting business partners across the enterprise. This role will execute/optimize campaigns for our business partners, collaborating with analytics and operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own and Assist paid search campaign planning, budget forecast, campaign development and execution, optimization and reporting process

  • Responsible for keyword research/analysis, copy development, bid strategy and budget allocation

  • Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize based on KPI's and demand opportunities

  • Analyze campaign performance to identify trends and drivers, and recommend actionable insights

  • Develop and document ongoing testing plan to improve campaign performance

  • Document campaign learning and develop case study to share with rest of search team and DG teams

  • Understand the technical build of all paid search tactics such as PMAX, Demand Gen, MSAN, Multiple Media Ads as well as the latest AI driven format such as AI Max and As in AI Mode

  • Conversant in all type of campaign setting and QA process to ensure spotless execution

  • Experience in various tCPA and tROAS bid strategy and conversant in leveraging both 1st and 3rd party audience data

  • Collaborate with analytics and Ad Ops on measurement, tagging and reporting

  • Collaborate with programmatic, paid social, media strategy and account teams on cross channel campaign planning, client deliverables, budget allocation and integrated performance report

  • Perform other duties and/or special ad hoc projects as assigned

  • Stay current on evolving search automation, AI-driven campaign tools, and platform best practices

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 5+ years marketing including experience managing paid search campaigns

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns from planning and execution to optimization and reporting

  • Experience in paid search keyword research, ad copy buildouts, bid strategy, as well as all other daily optimization tactics

  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform (SA360 required, GA4/CM/DV360 preferred)

  • Demonstrated strength in analytical skills and thinking; proficient in Excel and PPT

  • Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience working on B2C and B2B campaigns; experience working in financial category a plus

  • Knowledge in paid media tagging strategy, structure and workflow

  • SEO skills are a bonus and valued but not required

  • Understanding of the GEO space and how paid and organic work together to enhance enterprise discoverability

  • Excellent team skills; flexibility to pivot with strategy, regulatory and market evolution

  • Proven collaborative skill sets, experience developing plans and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Creative and resourceful; Proven ability to problem solve and look for new ideas

  • Strong project management and communication skills; Detail oriented and organized

  • Agency experience preferred

Grade/Level: 09

The salary range for this position is 60,000.00 - 112,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
