Job description

Our client, a leading entertainment company, is seeking to fill the role of a Media Ingest Operator. This position is responsible for loading digital media assets into Atris and supporting archive content onboarding activities. This role validates metadata, verifies file integrity, executes ingest workflows, and performs quality control reviews to ensure assets are processed accurately and made available for discovery and reuse. Working within established procedures, the position supports Archive Services by maintaining consistent ingest quality and processing efficiency.
  • Assignment type: 6-month contract
  • Schedule: Fully Onsite - Sat/Sun 9:30am-6:00pm, Mon-Weds 3:00pm-11:30pm
  • Pay Rate: $30-35/hour
Responsibilities:
  • Perform asset uploading into Atris, reviewing file inventories and supporting documentation; validating required metadata fields; verifying file integrity and delivery completeness; executing automated and manual ingest workflows; monitoring processing activities; tracking ingest status; resolving routine processing issues; and escalating technical or metadata exceptions to Archive Services staff as appropriate.
  • Digital media assets are accurately ingested into Atris in accordance with established archive standards, resulting in timely content availability, complete metadata association, and reliable asset accessibility for archive users.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of ingested assets by validating metadata accuracy; confirming file specifications and naming conventions; verifying successful processing and asset availability; identifying discrepancies; documenting issues; and coordinating corrections with Archive Services staff as necessary.
  • Media assets meet established archive quality standards, resulting in improved content discoverability, metadata consistency, and overall data integrity within Atris.
  • Maintain ingest documentation and operational records by updating processing logs, tracking workload status, documenting exceptions, and communicating ingest progress or issues to Archive Services personnel in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ingest operations are accurately tracked and documented, resulting in improved workflow visibility, issue resolution, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with digital media files, file management, or content processing workflows.
  • Associate's degree in Media Production, Communications, Information Technology, Library & Information Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with metadata entry, validation, and quality control procedures.
  • Experience using Digital Asset Management (DAM), Media Asset Management (MAM), content management systems, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify file, metadata, and processing discrepancies.
  • Ability to follow established workflows, procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of digital media formats, file naming conventions, and folder structures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume production environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Atris or other enterprise DAM/MAM systems.
  • Experience supporting archive, production, post-production, broadcast, or digital media environments.
  • Familiarity with media ingest workflows, file transfer systems, and cloud-based storage platforms.
  • Understanding of metadata standards and the importance of metadata for content discovery and reuse.
  • Experience performing quality control on media assets and associated metadata.
