We’re looking for an Associate Director of Social Media who can lead social strategy, drive cultural & consumer insights, and manage day-to-day social media efforts for select clients. This role reports to the VP of Social Media and will work closely with other departments and clients to create world-class social first campaigns rooted in data and insights.

The ideal candidate combines creativity, strategy, and analytical expertise to spearhead our client’s social efforts across all social channels, will serve as an internal leader within the social department, contribute to new business pitches, and will help grow and evolve our social media service lines at Tombras.

Where you’ll be working: Knoxville or Atlanta. Relocation assistance may be provided.

What you will be doing:
  • Day-to-day social account leadership across various client brands
  • Collaborate with in-house creative directors, community managers, brand strategists, project managers, account teams, and analysts to produce best-in-class social media campaigns
  • Drive advanced, on-trend social strategy and create social brand playbooks across various clients
  • Lead and present monthly/quarterly social performance analysis and reports to agency leadership and clients
  • Formulate and evolve best-in-class social media strategies spanning audience insights, channel mix, content strategy, community management, influencer marketing, paid media, and more
  • Oversee execution of omnichannel social campaigns from creative concept through deployment, optimization, and performance analysis
  • Manage and mentor a team of social media managers and strategists ● Continuously explore new social platforms, functionalities, and technologies to push boundaries and evolve our thinking across the agency
  • Consult existing and prospective clients on leveraging social to achieve brand and business goals
  • Work at the speed of social - fast! Which means more opportunities to make exceptional and impactful content

What you bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in social media management, strategy and content creation Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools
  • Desire to build and foster engaged communities and create award-winning social-first work with a team of highly motivated creatives and strategists
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing and leading a team, giving feedback, setting goals, and fostering a positive team culture
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention-to-detail and ability to proofread content for grammatical accuracy and maintain style consistency across pieces
  • Public speaking and presentation skills to ensure ideas are presented effectively and coherently
