Are you passionate about healthcare education? Medical Associates, the area's leading healthcare provider multispecialty group practice based out of Dubuque, Iowa is excited to launch the MedCerts Online Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Scholarship Program! This innovative program aims to empower aspiring healthcare professionals by providing financial assistance for their CMA certification through MedCerts's comprehensive online training.

MedCerts is a recognized leader in online healthcare education, specializing in certification programs for medical assistants, nurses, and allied health professionals. Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality education that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their careers. With a focus on flexibility and hands-on learning, MedCerts is committed to helping individuals achieve their professional goals in the healthcare field.
How it works: The MedCerts Medical Assistant program is delivered 100% online, on-demand 24/7, featuring expert-led video training, interactive simulations, and comprehensive course materials. The program is designed to cater to various learning styles, ensuring an engaging and effective educational experience. Once your online training is complete (approximately 28 weeks), you will complete a 6-week hands-on clinical rotation at Medical Associates. MedCerts will provide a loaner laptop, if needed.
What is a CMA?
CMA's are one of the fastest-growing healthcare professionals who perform administrative and clinical functions in a medical office setting. CMA's are valuable to Medical Associates and can be found in almost all of our clinical departments working alongside clinical staff to support our 200+ advanced practice providers and physicians.
Scholarship Details:
Eligible Students: High school graduate (or high school equivalency diploma/GED), internet connection and course registration/payment completed.
Timeline:Students can enroll at any time. The online portion of the program is designed to be completed in 28 weeks.
Note: Medical Associates provides the hands-on clinical rotations (we have a strong background in CMA student rotations!).
Details of the Scholarship:
  • Tuition reimbursement for the MedCerts cost of $4,000 (this includes the cost of the program and the NHA exam fee).
  • Students must maintain an overall good standing with the program (attendance, behaviors, etc.) and successfully complete each module within the program.
  • Scholarship recipient shall be hired and begin work in a full-time position at Medical Associates upon successful completion of the program.
Employment Details Upon Completion of Program:
  • Scholarship recipient agrees to work full-time (36-40 hours/week) for Medical Associates upon graduation for a minimum of 2 years/24 months.

Education, Experience, Skills:
Education: High school graduate (or high school equivalency diploma/GED), internet connection and course registration/payment completed.
Experience:Customer Service or healthcare experience preferred.

: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills:Keyboarding skills and use of electronic equipment.
