Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist
MLR is collaborating with a local hospital near Columbia, SC, to hire a proficient Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) for a full-time weekday role. This position involves performing diagnostic tests as directed by physicians, under the guidance of the Clinical Director, ensuring high-quality results and exceptional patient care in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Shift: Full Time, Weekdays
  • Perform venipuncture for patients across all age groups, ensuring specimen quality.
  • Conduct precise testing in designated departments while troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) for quality control, document corrective actions, and make informed decisions regarding patient results.
  • Engage in competency testing, professional development, and in-service training.
  • Maintain necessary certifications and participate actively in meetings and educational initiatives.
  • Effectively utilize the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other relevant computer applications.
Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist Requirements:
  • Must be a registered MLT/MT with valid credentials (ASCP, NCAMLP, AMT, ASMT, or equivalent) or eligible within six months.
  • Proficient in operating laboratory instruments and interpreting test results.
