Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician
A well-established healthcare facility in Elko New Market is seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join the laboratory services team. This is a full-time weekday role with daytime hours, offering a consistent schedule and a collaborative working environment.
Position Overview:
The MT/MLT is responsible for performing and analyzing a wide range of laboratory tests to assist in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring patient conditions. Duties include specimen processing, quality control, and equipment maintenance while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all laboratory protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex clinical testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunohematology, and urinalysis
  • Analyze, record, and report test results accurately
  • Maintain quality control procedures and troubleshoot instrumentation
  • Ensure specimen integrity through proper labeling and handling
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff regarding test interpretation when needed
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
  • Certification as MT/MLS or MLT (ASCP or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for Minnesota licensure, if applicable
