Medical Technologist - MLT / MT
Generalist / Full Time / Night Shift
We are seeking a well-skilled, highly productive team player to work as a Medical Technologist in our laboratory department. Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director, the MLT/MT is responsible for providing efficient and accurate analysis of specimens processed in the clinical laboratory to provide quality patient care services. The responsibilities of MLT/MT include (but are not limited to):
  • Use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those tests
  • Determine specimen validity in a timely manner
  • Inform clients of recollection protocols if a specimen is rejected
  • Identify, diagnose and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment
  • Verify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen
  • Label and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievable
Qualifications:
  • Medical Technologist - MLT / MT Degree from an Accredited University
  • ASCP Certification required
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control methods
  • Hospital or Clinical experience
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems and computer technology
