How to make $150,000 as a nurse?

A Med Spa RN can earn $150,000 by gaining specialized certifications in cosmetic procedures, working in high-demand markets, and increasing their hours or taking on additional responsibilities such as training or management. Building a strong reputation and developing skills in advanced treatments like Botox or laser therapy can also boost earning potential.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Med Spa RN, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Med Spa RN, you need a current RN license, strong knowledge of aesthetic procedures, and experience in patient assessment and clinical care. Familiarity with cosmetic injectables, laser systems, and medical documentation software is typically required, along with certifications in relevant aesthetic treatments. Outstanding interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to educate and reassure clients are crucial soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure safe, effective treatments, a positive client experience, and adherence to regulatory standards in the aesthetic healthcare environment.

How to make an extra $2000 a month as a nurse?

Med Spa RNs can increase their income by offering specialized treatments such as Botox, fillers, or laser procedures, which often pay higher per session. Building a client base, gaining certifications in advanced aesthetic procedures, and working additional hours or weekends can also help reach the extra $2000 monthly goal.

What are Med Spa RNs?

Med Spa RNs, or Medical Spa Registered Nurses, are licensed nurses who provide a variety of cosmetic and wellness treatments in a medical spa setting. Their responsibilities often include administering injectables like Botox and dermal fillers, performing laser treatments, assisting with skin rejuvenation procedures, and educating clients about skincare and treatment options. Med Spa RNs work under the supervision of a physician and must adhere to strict safety and ethical standards to ensure optimal client outcomes. They combine medical knowledge with aesthetic expertise to help clients achieve their cosmetic goals.

What can RNs do in a med spa?

Registered nurses (RNs) in a med spa perform procedures such as administering injectables like Botox and dermal fillers, providing skincare treatments, and assisting with laser therapies. They often work under the supervision of a licensed practitioner and may require specialized training or certification in aesthetic procedures.

How to work at a MedSpa as a nurse?

To work as a nurse at a Med Spa, you need to hold an active nursing license and typically complete specialized training in aesthetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, or laser treatments. Certification in medical aesthetics and experience with cosmetic procedures can improve job prospects, and understanding of patient care and safety protocols is essential.

What are some common challenges Med Spa RNs face when transitioning from a traditional clinical setting?

Med Spa RNs often find the shift from hospitals or clinics to a med spa environment challenging due to the increased emphasis on customer service, aesthetic procedures, and sales skills. Unlike traditional nursing roles, med spa nurses must balance patient care with consultations, treatment planning, and sometimes product recommendations. They also work closely with aestheticians, physicians, and administrative staff, requiring strong communication and teamwork abilities. Adapting to a more client-focused, elective procedure setting can take time but offers opportunities for professional growth and skill diversification.

Job description

Experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Injector (APRN) - Concierge Aesthetics (1099) Washington
Grow your aesthetics practice, with more flexibility, autonomy, and support under the Pinch brand. If you're trained in aesthetics and want to earn extra income on a part-time schedule, this is the opportunity you've been looking for.
Pinch is hiring experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioners in Illinois who are confident with injectables and want a better way to practice: above-market compensation, flexible scheduling, high-quality clients, strong clinical standards, and a real provider community, without the typical med-spa overhead and politics.
Pinch is a top-rated, Chicago-founded concierge aesthetics brand bringing treatments directly to clients in the comfort of their homes. As a Pinch Provider, you'll operate with more freedom and autonomy while practicing within a trusted brand and clear protocols designed to keep you and your patients safe.
Why experienced injectors choose Pinch:
  • Earnings built for experienced injectors: Top-of-market, treatment-based pay with no overhead costs.
  • Flexibility on your terms: Set your schedule and availability
  • Autonomy with support: You own the patient experience while following Pinch clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Community & collaboration: Join a provider network; share tips, cases, and local opportunities (events, brand partnerships, etc.).
  • Continued education: Ongoing training and refreshers so your skills and confidence keep leveling up.
What you'll do:
  • Deliver safe, high-quality concierge aesthetic care including:
    • Neurotoxin injections (tox)
    • Microneedling
    • Chemical peels
    • Skincare + at-home facial experiences
  • Treat clients sourced through Pinch marketing and your personal network
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely client records
  • Manage supplies responsibly
  • Follow Pinch protocols and clinical standards
  • Collaborate with other Pinch Providers and the Pinch clinical/support team
  • Use the Pinch platform to retain clients, run outreach, and grow your book

Requirements
Who we're looking for:
Required:
  • Active Washington State APRN license
  • Injectables experience (neurotoxin injections) and comfort treating independently
  • Prior aesthetics experience in a clinical setting (med spa, derm, plastics, concierge, etc.)
  • Strong patient communication, professionalism, and commitment to safety

Preferred:
  • Existing client base or strong ability to build one through networking
  • Interest in growing through events, influencer partnerships, photoshoots, and local community activations
  • Availability to treat between 10 - 50 clients per month (a mix of your own network, and new clients Pinch sends you)

Benefits
Training & support
This role is designed for injectors who already have experience, so training is focused on Pinch protocols, quality standards, and expanding services (peels, microneedling, skincare).
  • Pinch provides onboarding, ongoing education, and clinical support
  • (If needed) Pinch can align you to required protocols and competency refreshers to ensure consistent outcomes

What Pinch covers: A turnkey way to practice on your own - everything from procurement and insurance, to a trusted brand and community!
  • Malpractice coverage
  • Marketing support
  • MD collaboration
  • Technology + scheduling tools
  • Operational support and supplies structure (no med-spa overhead eating your earnings)
  • A provider community that actually feels like a team
About Pinch:
