POSITION SUMMARY
To support Hunt Regional Medical Partners' multi-specialty practice in a medical --clerical administrative capacity.
POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports To:
DIRECTOR -- HUNT REGIONAL MEDICAL PARTNERS

Clinical Staff
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience
At least 3 years of medical office management (family practice/primary care) experience preferred

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
1. Reinforces HMHD's values, promotes HMHD's Compliance Plan and demonstrates proficiency in understanding of training materials and applicable laws and standards.
2. Completes the required corporate integrity and compliance training and education programs and ensures department employees complete their required education (in a timely manner) according to HMHD policies.
3. Assists the Compliance Officer and the Executive Compliance Committee in identifying "high risk" issues within his/her department.
4. Complies with all HIPAA standards.
5. Direct/guide clerical and medical assisting staff in a day to day operations of clinic under the support and direction of the Medical Director and Director.
6. Execute tasks and projects as directed by the Medical Director and Director.
7. Manage patient scheduling and office flow in a way that provides optimum efficiency for patients and staff, on a day-to-day basis
8. Provide and coordinate thorough and complete training of all clinical and administrative staff
9. Maintain clock edits, monitor and act as first approval level of employee work time through the E-Time
10. Approve employee time off according to the Hunt Regional Medical Partners and Hunt Regional Healthcare Employee PTO Policies.
11. Manage medical, office and other supplies and inventory levels; research products and make solid recommendations to Medical Director with regard to product choices; submit purchase request to Director on a routine, consistent basis for all replacement supplies needed based on demand; set pars values for office and medical supplies on hand.
12. Manage medical office and treatment equipment within office; act as lead to coordinate with Medical Director and Director the scheduling of maintenance, repair, and replacement needs.
13. Monitor and act as lead with regard to identify IS needs. Report information to Director for appropriate action on fulfilling those needs.
14. Manage space and building deficits; work with Building Superintendent to ensure proper operation and safe environment at all times.
15. Manage daily tasks with regard to provider credentialing, renewals, and licensing; work with Director as needed on managed care contracting and processing
16. Understand and operate efficiently within all IS systems utilized by the practice; act as main contact/liaison practice and vendors managing all systems
17. Generate and accommodate periodic reporting request; possess capability to analyze and translate reports from billing and scheduling system
18. Maintain and reconcile daily deposit logs and reconcile with other HRMP practices as needed with regard to combined deposit issues
19. Maintain adequate and proper documentation with regard to provider CME, supervising and delegation of authority for physician and mid-level providers
20. Act as first approver of invoices; process and forward to Director for payment processing
21. Provide information to director as appropriate for the purpose in determining cost analyses on purchase requests and purchases
22. Act as Safety Officer for the Practice, or designate an alternate for routine safety checks on-site and conducting drills, maintaining logs and tracking incident reports for the practice
23. Conduct site surveys and monitor for continuous improvement and efficiency in patient safety and flow
24. Relieve front office and medical assisting staff as needed/appropriate in all areas of clinic
25. Support provider staff and co-workers in General Administrative Tasks
26. Enforce Hunt Regional Medical Partners and Hunt Regional Medical Center policies and procedures at all times
