Job description

JST is seeking a skilled Automated Assembly Maintenance Technician to support our second shift operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated assembly equipment to ensure safe, efficient production and consistent product quality.

If you are mechanically inclined, strong in troubleshooting, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated assembly equipment (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems)

  • Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule

  • Complete production changeovers

  • Conduct pre-production equipment checks

  • Inspect and approve first-piece samples

  • Use calibrated measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)

  • Enter maintenance data into CMMS system

  • Report equipment issues to the Assembly Maintenance Supervisor

  • Support production during relief periods when needed

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area (5S standards)

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Trade school or technical certification in automation, mechatronics, or related field preferred

  • Minimum 2 years experience in automated manufacturing maintenance

  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

  • Experience with sensors, pneumatics, and mechanical assemblies preferred

  • Ability to read measuring devices and perform English/metric conversions

  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move throughout shift

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work safely around automated equipment
