Overview
Epstein is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our MEP engineering team. The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and integration of engineering activities throughout the life of a project to ensure successful project delivery. This role oversees the development of engineering designs, coordinates changes to project documents and specifications, and supports client engagement.
The ideal candidate is a fully competent engineer with demonstrated project management experience and the ability to lead design teams. This individual will design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, education, hospitality, government, residential, retail, and industrial facilities while coordinating closely with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions. Strong industrial project experience is a plus.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred
  • 6-10 years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering firm
  • MEP project management experience
  • Experience designing commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including HVAC load calculations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering design teams and coordinate project deliverables
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination throughout the design process
  • Thorough knowledge of the International Mechanical Code, Chicago Mechanical Code, and ASHRAE design standards
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • LEED Accreditation preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Revit and discipline-specific software such as Trane/TRACE and Trace 3D

Compensation
Individual compensation is determined by several factors, including education, experience, training, qualifications, skill sets, licensure/certifications, and location. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance.
The salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000 annually.
