Job Summary:
VO Brothers Mechanical is looking for a VDC / BIM Modeler to support our mechanical piping and plumbing projects through accurate, coordinated building models and strong VDC processes. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to improve constructability, reduce clashes, and keep projects moving efficiently from design through installation.
If you're detail-oriented, technically strong in BIM tools, and comfortable collaborating across disciplines, this role gives you the chance to have real impact on how projects are designed and built.
Who You Are & What You Bring:
  • Experience working in VDC and BIM environments, preferably on mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of mechanical piping, plumbing systems, and construction processes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and multiple trades
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to BIM and VDC

Role Responsibilities & Duties
  • Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models for mechanical piping and plumbing systems using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinate mechanical models with other trades to ensure alignment throughout design and construction
  • Perform clash detection using Navisworks and lead resolution efforts with internal teams and external partners
  • Produce accurate construction drawings, spool drawings, schedules, and supporting documentation from BIM models
  • Support VDC workflows including constructability reviews, sequencing, and coordination planning
  • Assist with 4D scheduling and 5D cost-related modeling as required by the project team
  • Update and revise models as designs evolve and field conditions change
  • Ensure models comply with company standards, project requirements, and industry best practices
  • Participate in coordination meetings and contribute technical input to solve complex system conflicts
  • Support project managers and engineers by providing model-based insights for planning and execution
  • Help train and support team members on BIM tools, standards, and workflows when needed
