Description While candidates in all areas related to Mechanical Engineering will be considered, the preference will be given to those candidates whose research lies within the fields of 1) Fluid Mechanics & Thermal Sciences, and 2) Dynamics, Vibrations, & Acoustics, and aligns with one or more of the following focus areas: Energy, Transportation and Sustainability; Health Innovation and Human Resilience; Cyberinfrastructure, Machine Learning, AI, and Data Science. The Department and College are committed to fostering interdisciplinary research that can address grand challenges facing our society and innovate through a balance of fundamental and translational research. Collaboration with entities outside engineering and science is also highly encouraged.
