Job description

Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm.
Responsibilities
  • Establish an HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection team.
  • Manage and mentor 4 junior engineers.
  • Develop technical deliverables; including construction plans & specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval.
  • Perform construction administration duties; including attending and documenting project meetings, conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with the development of change order, closeout, and other construction documentation.
  • Perform onsite construction observation and inspection.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • P.E. License
  • Revit experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.
  • Self motivated
