Job description

Princeton Instruments, a leading organization serving scientific imaging and spectroscopy markets is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering/R&D team located in Acton, Massachusetts. We are looking for a senior level ME with vision, creativity and strong problem solving skills to help us create cutting-edge spectroscopy products, manufacturing processes and innovative solutions for our customers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional mechanical engineering skills with high proficiency working with SolidWorks including FEA and working with IGES, STEP and DXF files. Proficiency with Microsoft office programs also required. In addition, the right candidate will be able to communicate technical information at all levels, both written and verbally and will provide direction to coworkers and external suppliers as required. Must have demonstrated experience managing multiple projects from concept to completion, on time and within budget. Occasional travel may be required.
A strong understanding of electro-optical systems and ray tracing a plus but not required.
Position Requirements
Mechanical Engineering Degree with 5+ years of related engineering experience
