Job description

At SPARTAN, we manufacture aluminum and magnesium custom die casting products for the automotive industry. Our scope of exยญperience includes design, engineering assistance, and strict quality and process control for complex products.

Program Purpose
To build relationships with colleges and students for the purpose of developing multi-year intern arrangements that
may lead to potential employment opportunities upon graduation from an accredited engineering program.
Program Overview
Our Maintenance Internship Program offers students an exciting opportunity to explore the many career opportunities within Spartan. Students will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with our experienced staff in a team environment on real-world projects. In addition, they will have an opportunity to learn about our Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives and how we work together to achieve โ€œsuccess.โ€
Eligibility
U.S. Citizen, permanent resident status or valid eligibility paperwork to work in the U.S.;
Must have been enrolled as a full-time student during the current school year;
Must have a GPA of at least 2.5;
Be available to work fulltime for at least 8 weeks during the summer or current quarter; and
Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Length of Program
Internships are scheduled for a period of 8-12 weeks. During the summer, the program period begins May 15 and ends August 31. During a school year quarter or semester, the program will begin and end when the quarter or semester that the student has applied for internship ends.
