Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve process capabilities using appropriate tools and methodologies.
  • Input and analyze numerical data to identify patterns and relationships for optimal workflow and process development.
  • Review Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring systems and leverage technology to achieve goals.
  • Drive and champion a continuous improvement culture within the team.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to prepare products or processes for launch.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, legal, and Freudenberg Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
  • Design stamping dies, and other tooling for process improvements.
  • Communicate with stamping contractors and vendors regarding product specifications and requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of stamping process and die design or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in Steel stamping process, die design, other tooling for process improvements - technologies: Compound, Progressive, and Transfer.
  • Desired experience in stamping process for Aluminum and Copper
  • Strong conceptualization skills for mechanical components and understanding of component strength requirements.
  • Proficiency in CAD and/ or UG for reading, creating and editing drawings (manual and/or CAD), with knowledge of GD&T (ASME 14.5 - 1982).
  • Knowledge of Lean System tools and its methodologies; Six Sigma Green Belt or Red-X Apprentice preferred.
