Position Description
QuesTec is a leading mechanical contracting firm in the State of Missouri and surrounding areas. Our team is driven by innovative technology, efficient processes, and department collaboration in every project we undertake. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to partner with our project management, estimating, and virtual design construction operations.
Ideal candidates will have experience in value engineering, energy performance analysis, commissioning, design-build, and plan review. As a Mechanical Engineer at QuesTec, they will play a critical role in ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
Position Requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
  • Perform energy analysis to ensure systems are energy-efficient and comply with relevant codes and standards.
  • Lead commissioning activities to verify system performance and ensure proper operation.
  • Partner with our Estimators on design-build projects from conception through completion alongside our Project Managers.
  • Review and analyze mechanical plans and specifications for accuracy and compliance with project requirements and local codes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for project teams and clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Previous experience designing and/or reviewing commercial building plans
  • Experience in commercial mechanical contracting or related industry
  • Familiarity with VDC software such as AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
