Mechanical Engineer - Solutions Group
Location: Akron, OH (Primarily In-Office, 60-70%)
Salary: $60,000-$80,000 (DOE)

About the Role:
The K Company, Inc. is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our high-performing Solutions Group. This is an exciting opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience across HVAC design-build projects, energy management, drafting, and sales engineering support in a commercial and light commercial environment.
This role blends office work with regular field activity, including site surveys, equipment inspections, and client meetings. You'll be mentored by credentialed professionals including a licensed PE and a Certified Energy Manager, building the skills to lead projects and grow your career.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform heating & cooling load calculations and develop HVAC system designs
  • Support energy audits and financial analysis for energy conservation measures
  • Create and modify AutoCAD construction drawings
  • Assist the sales team with technical proposals and client site visits
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines

Who We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited)
  • 0-4 years of HVAC/mechanical engineering experience (recent grads with internships encouraged)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team
  • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel to project sites
