Job Description

What you will be doing:
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Mechanical engineers and designers.
  • Develop and manage project work plans.
  • Responsible for the systems selections, basis of design, and quality of the work product.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with project team members.
  • Represent the Mechanical discipline at client meetings and effectively communicate with clients as needed.
  • Coordinate the mechanical/plumbing design with other project disciplines and the Project Manager.
  • Provide construction phase support including submittal review and RFI response.
  • Maintain and develop mechanical/plumbing standards in collaboration with senior engineering staff.
  • Assist the Mechanical Director with mechanical/plumbing work product quality control.
  • Act as a senior mechanical engineering and design resource, providing assistance and guidance to project engineers and designers in both HVAC and plumbing design.
  • Confer openly and directly in a respectful and professional manner with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop design.
Experience you will need:
  • Minimum of 8 years of focused mechanical/plumbing design experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering Professional license.
  • Proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Trane Trace load calculation software.
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
