Our Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer to join our Prismatic Manufacturing Group where you'll play a critical role in transitioning operations into our next-generation Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM) facility. This is your opportunity to join a high-impact team where innovation meets precision, and your expertise drives the development of cutting-edge aerospace components.
As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you'll be at the forefront of both new product development and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes. You'll work hands-on with milled parts, applying advanced CNC programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance.
As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you will:
  • Develop and optimize CNC Mill machining processes for both new and legacy components
  • Create detailed CNC programs and manufacturing instructions that meet rigorous engineering specifications
  • Define operation sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements for precision part fabrication
  • Troubleshoot shop floor issues, including tooling, gauging, workholding, and inspection challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems and enhance producibility
  • Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies
  • Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements
  • Assist in the creation of machine-ready code and be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting
  • Estimate setup/run times and tooling hours; contribute to cost estimation for new business proposals
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives in processes and equipment

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or an Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience
  • Proficiency in CNC Mill Machining
  • 3+ years experience CNC Programming using CAD/CAM software
  • Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation

It'd be great if you also had:
  • A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • Background in the aerospace industry
  • Experience with machine automation integration
  • Skills in inspection of machined parts
  • Hands-on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NX
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus

Salary Range Transparency:
