Job description

Tool Service, Inc. is a well-established tool repair facility founded in 1975. TSI is an independent authorized factory and warranty repair for most major brands. Some of these brands include Craftsman, DeWalt, Makita, Black and Decker, Milwaukee, Bosch and Husavarna. 


We are seeking an experienced Gas Engine Repair Technician to diagnose and repair gas-powered equipment, including Gas Flat Saws, Gas Grinders, and Gas Vacuums.


All repairs can be completed at the company’s shop, with on-site work available for this individual if a fully equipped mobile setup is provided. This person will focus on hands-on repair work, while the company handles job scheduling, parts ordering, and client communication.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair gas-powered equipment, including Gas Flat Saws, Gas Grinders, and Gas Vacuums
  • Perform repairs primarily at the company shop, with optional mobile service for technicians with a fully equipped mobile setup
  • Coordinate with the company for parts, repair logistics, and client scheduling
  • Maintain professional interactions with clients during on-site visits or while communicating about repairs
  • Ensure all equipment is repaired safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
  • Report repair status and completion to the company as required


Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience repairing industrial or commercial equipment
  • Proven experience in tool or equipment repair, ideally with commercial or industrial tools
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively


Job Scheduling and Assignments

  • Work is primarily performed on-site at the company’s shop.
  • Assignments occur on weekdays only; no on-call or weekend work is required.
